Context
PDAC is a World Bank-funded project supporting commercial agriculture in the Republic of the Congo. The project needed three things: an information website for its official communication, a mobile tool usable in the field, and a reliable beneficiary registry for monitoring and reporting.
What was delivered
All three components were designed and delivered in 2019:
- The project's official website: news, calls for proposals, presentation of the matching grants and information for agricultural entrepreneurs.
- The Android mobile application, built for irregular connectivity conditions, featuring the "Parole aux bénéficiaires" section: field interviews giving a direct voice to the farmers and entrepreneurs supported by the project.
- The centralized beneficiary database: structuring large volumes of field data into a single registry, used for monitoring support activities and project reporting.
I then maintained and evolved the whole system as a full-time IT consultant until the end of my engagement in 2024: five years of continuous operation in support of the project teams.
